How we are providing a safe environment for our children and community

Families and staff must complete the Government of Ontario's online COVID-19 school screening tool prior to attending school each day.  This is a new requirement of the Ontario Ministry of Education. As before, students and staff with a COVID-19 symptom(s) must remain home until:

  • They receive a negative COVID-19 test result;

  • They receive an alternative diagnosis by a health care professional; or

  • It has been 10 days since the symptom occurred and they are feeling better.

Students must self-isolate if any member of their household (including siblings) has symptoms of COVID-19.

It's important to take steps to stay healthy, such as frequently washing hands and practicing social distancing. One important precaution families should take is wearing a face mask in public, especially in situations where social distancing is difficult. Children 2 years and older should wear a cloth face mask when they are in public and around people outside their home. Face masks are most important in situations where social distancing is difficult to practice, such as in a grocery store.

We ask all parents to familiarise themself with the Covid-19 protocols as released by the Public health of Ontario

The City of Brampton have provided us with key learning tools that we share with our parents and learners regularly.
